Important information

Version 2026-10-13 · Effective October 13, 2026

A plain-language summary of what the Pet Parent Portal is — and isn't. The Terms of Service have the full details.

Not a veterinarian

The portal stores and organizes information. It does not diagnose, treat, or give veterinary advice. In an emergency, call your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital — don't wait on the app.

Not your insurance company

FYNvet helps you prepare and send claims. Your insurer decides whether a claim is covered, how much it pays, and when. Sending a claim through the portal doesn't guarantee payment. Check your policy for filing deadlines, waiting periods, and exclusions.

You're responsible for what you submit

We don't review or verify uploaded records or claim details. Please make sure everything you submit is accurate and complete. Knowingly submitting false information can be insurance fraud.

Your pet's records and your privacy

Pet records are not covered by HIPAA (which protects human health information). We still keep them private: only you and anyone you give permission can see them, and you can export or delete them any time. See the Privacy Policy and Settings → Privacy & sharing.

Payments

Amounts you pay your veterinary hospital go to the hospital through Stripe. Questions about a charge or a refund go to the hospital.
