Terms of Service

The portal helps you keep your pets' records, store pet-insurance details, complete insurance claim forms, send those claims to your insurer, and — if a veterinary hospital connects to your account — review estimates and pay amounts you owe that hospital.

• FYNvet is not an insurer, insurance agent, broker, or claims administrator. Your insurer alone decides whether and how much to pay on a claim. Submitting a claim through the portal does not guarantee coverage, payment, or any timeline.
• FYNvet is not a veterinarian and does not give veterinary, medical, legal, tax, or financial advice. Information in the portal is not a substitute for your veterinarian's judgment. In an emergency, contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital right away.
• FYNvet does not review or verify the records you upload or the information you enter. You are responsible for their accuracy and completeness, and for knowing your policy's filing deadlines and requirements.

You must be 18 or older. Keep your sign-in details private and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

You keep ownership of what you upload. You give FYNvet a limited license to store, process, and transmit it only to run the portal for you. When you sign and submit a claim, you authorize FYNvet to send that claim and the records you attached to the insurer you selected on your behalf. Do not submit false or misleading information; insurance fraud is a crime.

The portal costs: 30-day free trial, then $2.99 per month. No card is needed to start the trial. If you subscribe, you authorize recurring monthly charges through Stripe until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Your plan; the subscription then ends at the close of the paid period. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice.

After a trial or subscription ends your account becomes read-only: you can still view, download, and delete your data, but you can't upload new files or work on claims until you subscribe.

When you pay an estimate, co-pay, or other balance through the portal, the payment goes to the veterinary hospital through Stripe. The hospital — not FYNvet — is responsible for the charge, its accuracy, and any refund. Contact the hospital about disputes.

Don't misuse the portal: no unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity; no attempts to access other people's data, disrupt the service, or bypass its limits; no uploading malware or content you have no right to share.

The portal relies on providers such as Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, and an email service, and links to insurers' own sites. We aren't responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their terms.

The portal is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, FYNvet disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for denied or delayed insurance claims, or for losses caused by information you entered or failed to enter. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

You can delete your account in Settings at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these terms. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

We may update these terms; if the change is material we will ask you to accept the new version. These terms are governed by the laws of [state — to be set with counsel], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
